Content
Navigating the complexities of academia requires a unique set of skills: the ability to lead oneself under pressure, communicate effectively in challenging situations, and set boundaries while fostering collaboration.
This two-day course empowers PhD students to approach difficult conversations with confidence, empathy, and clarity, helping them reach agreements with supervisors, colleagues, and partners – even in high-stakes scenarios.
Participants
Max. 14 PhD students.
The course is open to all PhD students who want to foster good relationships – while staying true to their needs and goals.
Form
This is an interactive course. There will be a well-balanced mix of short lectures, individual reflection, group work and interactive sessions where the theory can be practiced.
Participants will work with hands-on tools and actionable strategies they can immediately apply.
Teachers
Constance Böhme. Facilitator, Coach, Trainer and Organizational Developer.
Constance Böhme has an academic background in Communication, Cultural Studies and Psychology. She built the Career Service at Leipzig University and later created executive leadership formats for senior leaders in a corporate context. Today, she works with numerous research institutions and organizations across sectors – developing collaborative cultures, leadership practices and impactful teams.
